*LOL* I don't think anyone here will seriously have a singer dispute "Thomas vs. Bessemer pear" when it's about heating "our grandma's little house" :) :) :)

I also think that a ceiling heating only requires a two-digit supply temperature; four digits would be rather unusual, unless you live directly above a magma chamber :p

So, the first offers are slowly coming in and for the moment I am positively surprised - I had expected something much worse.

Example windows:

Removal, disposal of old windows and roller shutter boxes, installation of new windows and roller shutter boxes
4 small basement windows with tilt-and-turn without roller shutters
1 lift-and-slide door 2.30 wide with roller shutters
2 small guest WC windows without roller shutters with tilt-and-turn and frosted glass
1 fixed element floor-to-ceiling as a panoramic window with roller shutters
10 additional windows "normal size" partly single-winged, partly double-winged, with tilt-and-turn and roller shutters

In total 18 elements.

Kömmerling profiles
Double glazed
Window color anthracite outside / white inside
All roller shutters with remote control, roller shutter color standard gray

Price all inclusive: €19,500.

From your point of view is the price okay?

Unfortunately, I have only one problem regarding the windows - double glazing is not subsidized.
In the basement and cellar the question of possible triple glazing does not arise, as there is only 30 cm masonry / 50 cm rubble stone wall in the cellar. We have not planned any façade insulation; to avoid moisture problems we will definitely stick to double glazing here.

However, the roof and dormer are insulated from the outside with 16 cm insulation. Behind the dormers is 30 cm of masonry.
Wouldn’t the insulation effect actually be sufficient here to install triple-glazed windows?

It doesn't matter at all whether it's double or triple glazed. Mold doesn't care if a tightly sealed house is not ventilated. Therefore, I would go with triple glazing. They are not more airtight than double glazing. Ventilate and heat properly – then there will be no moisture problems.

mh ... a company categorically excluded installing triple glazing with us due to an uninsulated facade in the old building. They wouldn’t do it because moisture problems could arise. I’ve heard this now from several sources, including the expert.

From your point of view really harmless? I would also inquire about the triple glazing and see what difference it makes in terms of cost. Considering the subsidy and, over time, heating costs, in my estimation it would be worth it anyway.

I would categorically exclude double glazing in ownership - unless the extra cost is immense. However, in ownership, I would always consider ventilation and think about a controlled residential ventilation system (decentralized).
