We live in a big city where extreme construction booms and rapidly rising prices have been the norm for a long time. Of course, this is also reflected in the prices of the craftsmen; we were glad that we managed to find any at all.

"The myth of moisture problems with triple glazing" - something like this has now been expressed by almost all window manufacturers.

"You have to ventilate properly anyway, and the double-glazed windows are just as airtight as the triple-glazed ones - the additional cost is not worth mentioning and pays off after a very short time, besides, you can take advantage of the BAFA subsidy with the triple glazing" - this was heard yesterday in a conversation with our selected window manufacturer.

Conclusion: It will definitely be triple glazing - regardless of the rest of the insulation.

It's not about an allegedly higher airtightness, but about the higher U-value. If the U-value of the windows is higher than that of the wall, then there are problems. But the conclusion is the same as mine from a few pages ago. It doesn't matter because even the double-glazed ones nowadays insulate better than solid bricks. So ventilate as much as possible!

Ventilate like crazy, or just ventilate normally? ;-)

Don't worry about the ventilation. Just ventilate normally. We ventilate once a day and have never had any problems. You usually ventilate the bathroom and kitchen more often anyway because of the humidity. And when we are on vacation, sometimes no one ventilates for weeks and that has never been a problem either.

It is more important to avoid placing cabinets, sofas, pictures, etc. on exterior walls or to keep a lot of distance to ensure ventilation. Good air circulation also helps to prevent mold.
