You should really start drawing this with realistic wall thicknesses now.

But the staircase won't really have its effect. From the entrance you don't see it yet, you first leave the living area without a view of the staircase, then you look towards it, only shortly before the stairs.

If the dark gray lines mean windows, then everyone in the living room sits with their back to the window.

Child 1 ... approx. 260x600 cm ... that will be really tricky to furnish. With a central access, the room could at least be divided into 2 areas, but as it is, it is accessed from one long side.

Good morning everyone,

kindly sent me a draft with wall thicknesses yesterday. You could already see some problems in the sketch. Since I don't want to shirk from the work myself, I will of course familiarize myself with the program in the next few days and then get actively involved again.

as mentioned above, I can only agree with you and also and everyone else that it really needs to be planned or designed again with wall thicknesses. As shown in Robson's draft, there would still be quite a bit of space in the living, kitchen, and dining areas.

Regarding the stairs, another possibility, if you want to keep them in the east, would be to move them to the level of the office and move the office or guest room downwards. This way, the stairs "possibly with a great stairwell" would be a focal point right at the entrance. In doing so, the order of the master bedroom, dressing room, etc., upstairs would naturally change.

No other real alternative to the section comes to mind right now... *ponder*

Hello,
I'll join in again. I think the floor plan has improved significantly. Maybe we should start a "hobby architect forum"
The next step is really to draw with actual wall thicknesses and to roughly furnish with your pieces of furniture.
Honestly, I don't think much of the idea to swap the stairs with the office. That would squeeze the stairs into the corner of the house just so you can see them from the entrance. Upstairs, you'd ruin everything with that.
The fireplace right next to the door and next to the TV stand unfortunately doesn't work either. When it's on, you don't want to go in and out anymore
Also, a chimney shaft would have to be built straight up through the middle of the hallway above it.
In my opinion, the direct access to the utility room is also good and important.

Good morning

I just tried to partially move the stairwell and the office, but it no longer really works on the upper floor. On the ground floor, it could still somehow be accommodated, but only with difficulty. I somewhat agree with that a straight alignment on the ground floor would look better, but as you said, it has to be drawn in a proper program with walls and possibly moved or adjusted.

Regarding the fireplace, yes, that will practically not work.. then it would probably have to be more towards the east, for example against the wall or something like that. I thought, for example, a 180-degree fireplace as a kind of room divider would, of course, also have its visual appeal.

In the "Hobby Architects Forum" I give you my label TOP

Attached is the attempted ground floor / I stopped with the upper floor...

yes yes
Hangs on.

That was before the last changes, but I think some things are already obvious (even though I didn't have exact measurements).
I just assumed a 36 cm masonry and adhered to the external dimensions of 10x10.5.

Entrance door with sidelight (1.40) and the bathroom on the ground floor will be downgraded to a WC. The kitchen will then be quite tight and there will be plenty of space in the living room.
The bedroom upstairs as it is currently will not work; there is now a 180 cm bed in it and it is barely possible to move.
In addition, the dressing room with the 3 doors will of course be harder to furnish.

Unfortunately, there are no measurements in the floor plans (Home.by.me)
