If you have a second bathroom upstairs, you don't need a shower on the ground floor, just a guest toilet (we have it like that too).

The 180 cm bed in the bedroom really shocks me, since our current waterbed has the dimensions of 2.00m x 2.20m.

I really have to work on it again this evening. But extending the staircase further towards the living room makes the whole thing even more angular.
(Jochen really doesn't like that)

Joking aside Jochen, neither do I

Are those the external dimensions for the waterbed? Then the room should be at least 360 cm wide and preferably 300 to 320 cm deep. Apart from the bed and 2 bedside tables, there really shouldn't be anything else in the room.

I will definitely include that in the planning! Thanks to you
External dimensions 2.15m x 2.45m due to the headboard.

@ all,
would it possibly be thinkable or another option to partially build over the technical room from the ground floor in the upper floor? Similar to a step like in the living room on the ground floor? To gain a few more meters? (marked in red) + removal of the door to the bathroom to better use the dressing room.

Hope you know what I mean

Another option would be to do without the WC in the upper floor and shift everything further west and place the bathroom under the dressing room and one of the children's rooms. *ponder*

But this will become clearer with the 3D program and also with the dimensionally adjusted walls.. Hm..

Well, that immediately expands the room size for the bed ... Room width, meaning the wall the bed is against, I would then set to at least 375 cm and room depth to at least 320, better 340 cm = 12.75 sqm

And, you can now see the problems that arise from seemingly ideal line drawings.

Start making the plan with wall thicknesses.

Graph paper, correctly draw the overall dimensions once, make multiple copies and then get going with the pencil.

And, consider the costs. I just read your statement about that in a financing thread. What is the maximum the house is allowed to cost?

... An architect would know that you can’t just put the staircase wherever you like, but that the position of the staircase is associated with room widths. Therefore, ideally place the staircase in the center first so that real rooms fit alongside it. You can always move it the following year. That was a joke and should serve as a reminder, ... Has the property already been purchased?.??
