Yes, it has become a significantly more complex structure. So even smaller, it would now be more expensive.

I do not have any measurements myself yet. We went to the architect with the intention that we would like approximately 180 sqm of living space. At first, he drew something for us that had many more projections and recesses. After that, we commissioned him to draw something simpler, for which we gave him some Pinterest photos as a reference. Next week, we will talk to him again; we like the drawing, but we also think that some cost reductions are still necessary. In particular, the stairwell projection may not necessarily be required.

I would have found it more interesting to read where their own motivation for changes was in view of the old design. I just saw the new drawings earlier, completely unable to classify how the virgin may have come to this child. I fear you took the warnings about unimaginative drafting assistants to heart in the wrong way and ended up with a great artist who served a creation of fresh rooms on a foam of crispy walls, nonsense as lean cuisine of course without sauce. Oh dear, so you also observed the most important don’t.

Our motivation to find an architect came from the fact that the draftsman of the original designs also produced a floor plan in the second attempt that was useless. The architect immediately delivered a floor plan we could work with. We just did not like the exterior shell. This is also why the Pinterest photos, he should see what appeals to us. Or should we have him draw ten more sketches out of the blue? By the way: The man is basically a realist, in his early 60s, and does not need to prove himself anymore.

You only get to the master bedroom through the bathroom? I wouldn't plan it that way.
