A continued existence would then be possible, but completely pointless!

Has a height profile already been created by the surveyor? If not, be sure to have it done. I estimate the height difference from the pictures to be at least 4.00m, if not more!!

We have the Geoportal Sachsenatlas in Saxony. Here you can also see elevation maps of the whole of Saxony. Maybe there is something like that in your state too?

Is there also one for Bavaria.

An ancient map is stored for our property. Based on the buildings at least 100 years old. Can it be purchased somewhere?

I played around a bit again without aiming for meaningfulness due to lack of budget.
Also, the interested reader has to bring some imagination, since the partly difficult topography is not the strength of my ancient program. Stairs as always no landings. The "front garden" would still need to be paved extensively to connect all paths. Due to the slope, my program refuses to cooperate there.

However, the whole thing depends on whether the parents' bathroom can be drained. A professional would have to put their mind to whether it’s possible to get through the ceiling into the hallway wall or something like that.

By the way, with a knee wall of 1.12 m and a setback of 0.50 cm, I can't get any reasonable dormers. Then the windows would be somewhere under the ceiling with a 38° roof pitch, right?

Why should one go up stairs outside when one can do so inside? In winter, they would even be ice-free.
