I can understand you.
But what about the families who have to move for work reasons? I cannot buy a local property in my hometown because there is no work in my field there.
I like it here in BW and I have a great job. But my salary simply isn’t enough for the expensive properties on the outskirts of the city.
I have the feeling that only the cities don’t have a local resident model because the local families there don’t want/can’t afford these prices anyway. That’s why the rush to the smaller communities is so huge. In the cities, it’s more anonymous anyway, so they prefer to take the money from newcomers...
At the moment, I am looking at various communities. For example, I inform myself very carefully about the club offerings. Since I make music, a corresponding club would be great for me and also for my child. Are there sports programs, etc...?
Maybe such a rule would be something for newcomers: Get involved in the town, then you will be treated like a local when it comes to the properties, even if you haven’t found an apartment in our town... Then you would at least have a chance and could prove that you could become a worthy newcomer and a nice neighbor...
And I also don’t believe that all locals get involved in clubs, etc. There are also some who don’t do that.
The requirement for a primary residence might also have been an advantage in [Nordlys Baugebiet].
