I don’t really understand what influence it’s supposed to have whether I have ever owned property before. Because I already find that point discriminatory.

With us, it was divided according to:
- having received a plot of land from the municipality before
- home ownership in the town
- land ownership in the town
- home ownership in general
- children
- residing in the town
- working in the town
and maybe a few more points.

And then the municipality asked for 160 €/m2, with a standard land value of 100 €/m2. Should I complain about that? Privately, the plots are being sold for about 200 €/m2 plus a realtor’s fee and faster than rolls at the bakery.

For years, we have been selling to 3 local developers as a package. They pick the most stress-free and financially reliable clientele. Also unfair because you don’t get a good price or you always have a developer binding. Thats life

Because there are real existing large families who need suitable living space. That clearly outweighs your family concept in terms of urgency.

And since you can promise the community a lot, give me land and I'll make you 10 heirs

A story on the side:

In our community, there is the same problem. Few municipal plots. Many interested parties, both local and supra-regional, location in the vicinity of a large city, the usual development in Germany.

Besides that, that is separate from the plot, the provision of the fire department. This is carried out alongside a small professional fire brigade for common things like garbage container fires, traffic accidents, or first response mainly by two volunteer fire brigades that become active as soon as more than one room is burning.

For the volunteer fire department, it is important that one lives and works locally.

So there was a proposal for the plots to prefer membership in the fire brigade. It did not pass, now there is an auction system. So come here, then you have every chance to land in first place. You only paid 150% of the usual market value.
