Strange that you as a new user know Steffen80 so well [emoji848]

The "LOL" also has a childish character, where do I know that from? [emoji848][emoji848][emoji848]

Quick question about the "bolded" part: I often see images taken with a thermal camera showing an older and uninsulated house. It is always bright red (so warm). But you say that the walls of old houses are cold. (Which I actually always thought as well...). Where am I making a mistake in my thinking?

Hi ypg,

why is that strange?
I have already noticed that you, for example, are always very very helpful and usually very pleasant and factual in tone. Slightly snippy sometimes... But still fully within reason

11Ant is also very very helpful and thankfully doesn’t spare his opinion and support. The tone is sometimes a bit cynical though

Steffen80 is just a multimillionaire and likes to let everyone know that without being asked. If you look at pretty much every (somewhat exaggerated) thread about financing, you can’t avoid that opinion. (As I said, probably a really nice guy in private!)

I could say something about some users here in the forum. (So don’t feel “ignored”!)

You probably know "LOL" from the internet or SMS. I didn’t invent it. It’s been around for a long time.

Childish? Yep, hopefully I’ll be a bit of a child for life.

Hi Nordlys,
I can work with that, thanks a lot.

Wood is very likely still in the running.
May I ask how one would have to "insulate" if I wanted the extension to be made of as native wood as possible? (Not a log house, but wood slats).

The next question then arises: How does the wooden extension "get along" with the existing double-layer masonry?
Is there anything special to consider?

Well, I wonder why you know or want to get to know the people here by reading, even though you might rather study insulation and stuff. Just a troll. A Maxximus, whatever. I'm out anyway – nobody's ever called me snippy by the way [emoji23]

No, LOL is only said by very few here, I've read 2-3 here... it's a phrase used by people stuck somewhere in the past because of, for example, a loss... mostly in a relationship... can be, but doesn't have to be. At least there's stagnation in development... 5 to 10 years ago... I would guess. The age back then in the twenties, others used this abbreviation rarely. ...
