How can one circumvent the Energy Saving Ordinance and avoid bureaucratic madness?

Define climate. It will hardly consist of more than temperature and humidity. Regardless of the wall structure, the optimum for living spaces is around 21C and 50% - this is easily achievable with insulation.

When I write climate, I do not exclusively mean the indoor climate, but also the general feeling in the rooms.

It is quite different when you are in a bunker or in a "normal" room, even if the indoor climate is brought to the same level by certain techniques.

I don't like this complete isolation. I like it airy and open. In winter then cozy warm by the fireplace.

And if someone can assure me that I can also get this cozy/snug feeling in a new Energieeinsparverordnung house, that would be great. However, I do not want to spend money on any technical gimmicks if I can create this "climate" natively as well.

No one forbids you to build with stones without additional insulation, no one mandates a ventilation system or underfloor heating. What you want can be done, except if it is a 120 sqm house.

Define that using objective parameters, or does that lean towards esotericism?

I couldn't say with my eyes closed whether I am in an energy-saving regulation house or not. At least not without existing construction defects.

Hi Lumpi,

really? I thought, based on the statements of the construction people, that I:

- HAVE TO insulate the roof of the main house
- Need a new heating system in the 85sqm main house (gas, last renewal was in '89)
- The new extension (approx. 70-80sqm) must be completely equipped with insulation and solar.

Are these now just typical market criers looking for a fool? Or is there proper expertise behind it?

Hello 77.willo,

With the same temperature and the same room humidity, I am still, in my opinion, able to recognize whether I am standing in an air raid shelter or in a barn. That then has relatively little to do with esotericism. Several factors play a role. Not just temperature and humidity.

And even if we assume that it feels completely identical. That is, the "native house" and the "energy saving ordinance house."
Why should I then spend tens of thousands of euros more for the same result/feeling?

Could you explain that to me based on objective parameters?

Regards
