Thank you! What kind of additional costs should one expect per square meter of wall? Do you have any idea?

I would say it's always worth it. When it comes to extra costs, one must not forget: those who do not like certain methods or materials often mention deterrent prices so that the client prefers something standard instead. However, I would not wallpaper clay plaster – that would weaken the difference.

Gypsum plaster around 10-13 per sqm. Clay plaster is almost just the pure material price. So you can calculate 100% more. Actually, you only do this in listed very old buildings or if you are a believer. Because the colors are also twice as expensive as normal wall paint. The plaster is not very suitable for bathrooms. It does not like moisture permanently. Not quite easy to tile. Get advice from specialists. There are surely companies near you who can do it. We renovated the interior of a building over 750 years old in 2012. With this plaster and these colors. Very good result, very pleasant in the room. No more musty or moldy smell, felt clear good air. But the price was steep. Chiseling off and sandblasting the old lime-cement plasters from the last renovation, removing dispersion paints where the old plaster is very firm. New plaster, new microbial coat, a few little things, restoration of old doors with Le Tonkinois linseed oil varnish etc., a good 340 thousand gross. But it was worth it. Karsten

One does not have to make all rooms the same, but at least in the living area I would prefer clay plaster.

Is red lime plaster similarly pleasant for the indoor climate?

Hi Steffen80,

that you’re swinging the envy club right now - wrapped in "can’t be true, he’s a troll" - I find somehow amusing...
But also kind of bitter.

If you’re ever in Hamburg, come by. I assume you’re a funny guy in real life. Certainly with a certain profile neurosis, but hey... Who is perfect?!

Now so many have written here that I don’t even get to quoting, etc.
I will now calmly read through all of that and then possibly respond.

Either way, thanks to you all! Really great that there is such good discussion here.

And the odd off-topic is okay. As long as it’s not again about Steffen80’s salary and cars, I’m fine with it.

By the way, NASA has admitted that there isn’t a single picture of the entire Earth and that they completely Photoshop the existing images so they look the way they do. Just google it. So it’s clear that the moon landing pictures, on which the Earth can also be seen, are fake. But this topic is old and already completely discussed.

For several weeks/months now, an Asian satellite has taken the first picture of the entire Earth. This can also be downloaded online somewhere. (Supposedly about 400GB in size - already compressed).

So, enough off-topic LOL
