However, compromise from my wife: "open kitchen, yes! but it has to be somewhat 'separated' from the living/dining area. It must not be the complete focal point of the living room. I had to fight to make sure we don’t get a kitchen with a sliding door. I actually find the solution on our floor plan quite good? Of course, the exact planning of the kitchen can be discussed separately, but I think, purely in terms of space (also from the lengths/widths), a proper kitchen according to our ideas can be designed?

As in your first thread about the kitchen: narrower, but instead take space from the [Diele]. You even received illustrated examples of great double-row kitchens.

Well, the kitchen area will be quite a long tunnel... over 6m deep. For that, it would also be too narrow for me.

We basically had the same problems as you. We solved it like this.

The office was on the ground floor for a long time and then had to go because it simply conflicted with the requirement that the kitchen should have a view of the street.

You have a basement, right? Aren't there possibilities there?
