Floor plan - Single-family house planning 2 full floors - city villa

The floor plan definitely has no faults. Only the walking paths are impractical. You will definitely need a small wardrobe in the stair area if you don't want shoes lying around in the hallway.

Yes, as already mentioned, we will put a bench with shoe storage, etc. in front of the railing. There is enough space there. Only for jackets/drawers etc. there is no room—that’s why our wardrobe niche.

Yes, that may be true, but nobody showers there :D We are not 10 people in the house, so no one will bother me watching TV if they need to pee :)

Yep, as Allessandro writes, you are planning a hall, every townhouse is identical, the results can be viewed thousands of times online. At one end the couch and TV, at the other end a table and around the corner a kitchen usually 3.5 x 3.5m. There is nothing cozy about that.

I always find the layout of ivenh0's house beautiful, the dimensions fit, the living room is somewhat separate, everything is color-coordinated, cooking and dining at the terrace. Yes, his living room is cozy.

Yes, then definitely personal taste is decisive for such a decision. For us, there are too many aversions against these floor plans, which is why the traditional conservative floor plan (as is actually the case in many townhouses) appeals to us much more. As I said, to make a living room cozy, the floor plan is not decisive. Furniture changes everything, especially as Alessandro already wrote regarding room dividers. For us, cooking in the terrace area would never be a consideration at all.. That rules out a lot for us (which benefits us, since we don't have to "acclimate" to anything else) :)

Terrace? In winter in the basement or garage? Temporarily on the right side in the hallway. So I do think you can find options there :)

But these are again things that I think:

In a 5-story apartment building, tenants sometimes have no option at all, have to carry things, take them down to the basement or whatever.

We have a huge terrace, a double garage, a basement and our own house... So if I have problems with that, then it’s an extremely luxury problem :D
