the kitchen room is 3.40 meters - without cabinets. as said, with the cabinets we are at about 2.10 - 2.20 meters.

These are all beautiful floor plans, however, they integrate the sofa area too much into the entire living room, which we do not want. The area should be cozily secluded, the kitchen should not be too integrated, which is why our solution works much better for us personally. We don't like these open floor plans on the ground floor that much. This makes it difficult for us to redesign something in this area, which we also believe is not necessary there. We really like the space between the kitchen and living room because it allows us to use the bar area. The dining room therefore feels spacious, and when there are many guests, there is a lot of room around you. The kitchen is somewhat integrated into the dining area but not too much. I find the interaction quite good.

I do understand what you mean by the tube shape, but I suspect that according to our wishes it won’t bother us.

After several months, I have now looked at the pictures including the finished floor plan, etc., and I thought to myself: I am in love... That’s exactly how we imagined it. :D

In my opinion, you are contradicting yourself. You don’t like open floor plans and you want a cozy living area. Your living/dining area currently feels like a hall. Long, open, and "cold." I feel like I go from the living room to the kitchen 1000 times (mostly to the fridge :p). For me, that would almost be too far away in your case. I would at least create some kind of room divider between the dining and living rooms that adds to the coziness, similar to what has... Edit: A WC directly adjacent to the living area would bother me.

Well, the furnishings determine the warmth of the room. We have a large living area on the ground floor – which I think is very nice. Through color, furniture etc., it feels cozier, but you’re not cramped like in a 40m² living area, for example. So I don’t see any problems there. I do see that it is actually almost exclusively the kitchen issue, which we actually manage really well! In that respect, the feedback has really helped a lot and strengthened us in all other parts of the floor plan :) For us, it was more about whether there might still be "mistakes" or something totally impractical that we hadn’t thought of. Why no toilet adjacent to the living area? :D

The floor plan definitely has no flaws. Only the walking paths are impractical. You will also definitely need a small wardrobe in the stair area if you don't want the shoes lying around in the hallway. I also wouldn't want to have to go down to the basement every time for a vacuum cleaner, broom, groceries, drinks, etc... Because you will hear everything through the wall ;)
