Nonsense. You currently only have one child, and the chimney makes the second children's room a ridiculous 0.06 sqm smaller than the first. Child 1 first lives in the room next to the parents and will move to the other children's room (cool, less close to the parents) or even to the fitness room (even cooler, plus 0.11 sqm and even with corners) when they hit puberty. You are building the house's gigantic risalit on the street side, and then seriously "bother" about the little chimney between the bed and the door in the second children's room ... oooh oooh oooh, ouch ouch ouch ...

Of course, you can wonderfully combine a wood stove with a bench. We do it the same way. It’s then not only nice and warm at the back but also gives the stove more atmosphere. The seating surface of the bench is, of course, not heated. A wood stove with a bench works very well and is also comfortable to sit on when the stove is on.

I don't think the architect's design is that bad, what immediately strikes me: 1) The idea of an airlock is certainly good, this way you avoid the typical garage smell in the house 2) An interior bathroom in a new building is bad. I might pull the airlock further towards the street, if you then swap kitchen and living room, you can combine pantry and utility room. I would then pull the living room a bit around the corner towards the guest room. And branch off space for the bathroom from the guest room.
