Thank you very much for your feedback! We are still considering the window in the staircase, possibly 2 smaller staggered windows or also possibly 2 horizontal windows—but it will always be asymmetrical. If we take the bathrooms out of the recess, the floor plan no longer works. We will consider windows for the 2 bathrooms facing forward. The >200 sqm is only still in the title, currently it is <200 sqm.

The garage can certainly be debated, but if motorcycles and bicycles are also to be accommodated, then you need space; otherwise, I would skip the garage altogether and build a carport. I don't find storage options without a basement too large, we also don't want to immediately put up an additional garden shed or the like after just 2 years. And the living, dining, and kitchen area is big enough for us; it's about the question of how potentially a corner bench/stove/fireplace could fit well. There hasn't really been any feedback on this specific question yet...

Ok thanks, if I understand correctly, it's about the fact that the builder also has expertise with the chosen wall structure – that goes without saying. I still have to have the idea of what I want and what not.

A basement or storage room is unfortunately nothing more than an expensive final storage. I can’t remember a move where at least half of the basement didn’t end up in the dumpster, most boxes even unopened.

The whole thing is doubly absurd because with the motto "We have a storage room," people even deliberately buy nonsense. You have to justify the expensive final storage.

I would really think twice about spending over 50m² of storage space, which easily costs 75,000 EUR.
Think of all the useful things you could do with that money...

I basically agree with you there, but there is nowhere near 50sqm of storage space. The storage room also includes a small workbench plus space for garden tools.

A garage where I park a metal box that can also easily stand outside counts for me as "expensive and largely pointless storage space" ;)
