Both the bedroom and the ground floor were meant, the dining area is not optimal - I am now convinced, yes.

I also find the ground floor too convoluted and too dark. If you also want to save square meters, I have a suggestion for the ground floor: the kitchen bay is completely omitted (south sun comes onto the terrace), kitchen close to the outdoor kitchen, roof (indicated in blue) significantly smaller and further to the left (storage room slightly reduced). This way, you would have a nice unobstructed view of the garden from the living and dining areas, without any roof or garden furniture. In the living room, there could be a window seat at the bottom.

Upstairs, I also tried to save square meters by eliminating the narrow, convoluted corridor. The structure of the house on the left side of the plan is now significantly narrower. The exterior wall at the top is flush with the extended storage room on the ground floor. That should look reasonable. Maybe there are some ideas for you in there :-)

Thank you very much for your input – these are really great ideas!

On the ground floor, the question would be whether there is too much light near the TV ;) Upstairs, I’m generally not completely happy with the arrangement of the bathrooms/WCs, but your ideas are great here as well :)

Some of us said that too, but when do you watch TV? We don't at 12, but from 7, 8 pm...

Thank you very much for the very helpful feedback so far and especially to for the concrete idea of the redesign. Our planning has now largely adopted it, and we already feel very comfortable with the new draft. I would be happy if there is feedback again on this!

This is difficult for me because the changes are, to put it mildly, "not very obvious," meaning that when I'm presented with "new" floor plans as "spot the difference" puzzles – that is, without subtle hints as to where the main changes lie – my hunting instincts are not sharp enough to spot them. So I see "nothing" (except that there was no recognizable relaunch: the floor plans still suggest they were apparently not developed top down).
