I once created a mirror-image floor plan of a Frisian house in a sketch and included the later division in the planning :

But I just see: the west side is, in my opinion, neglected. Maybe still a thought to consider?

I also like the last approach. Slammer probably won't like the kitchen/living room position there. With clever sliding doors, etc., you could even divide Eating/Cooking/Living into three parts.

I know the first draft personally. The stairs were built in at the bottom, with a wardrobe underneath (accessible just before the kitchen). The well-known house had no separation between kitchen and dining, but sliding doors between dining and living areas. Upstairs, however, they had southwest.

Slammer just can’t implement the whole wish list – while sketching, "oh, that could look nice" things were added to the wish list, so it just ends up as patchwork.

@Slammer: think again about whether all the wishes are really that important or if things just happened that way and separate the nice-to-haves from the sensible. For example, the stairs don’t necessarily have to be there if they’re going to be built in. (Effect lost). A second staircase might also be unnecessary if all the important elements are in the party room anyway (who wants to steer their guests through the garage?)
The view from the living area to the west can be compensated for, for example, with planned planting. Or a strip window instead of a floor window, which also wouldn’t be in the kitchen if it were placed in the west. (It’s just a residential street anyway)
And don’t focus only on the south; there’s enough garden, and other areas around the house can be wonderfully designed and used.

Regards, Yvonne

Hello,

thank you also for these two approaches. There are many possibilities, we just need to be willing to compromise. Here I cannot go/look directly from the kitchen into the garden. In general, however, we definitely want a separate and not open kitchen with a seating area. That would be feasible in the 2nd draft with a wall. Only then the dining area would also become smaller accordingly.

In general, here again 2 rooms (pantry and utility room) are "outsourced", which of course allows more freedom in the interior. Even though the design is also only 12x10m. But I would like to see the garage with its surroundings as a cellar replacement and not use the area. Because you need enough storage space.

I will look at the drafts again and see what comes to mind. Thank you very much for that.

I like the second staircase, when we have our Carrera evenings or something similar, people can go in and out without having to go through the house. And I don't have to leave the front door open for latecomers. When we are both upstairs, people can come up directly through the garage. This is currently how it works at my parents' place as well through the garage, only then into the cellar.

In general, we are simply not fans of completely open spatial arrangements, which of course makes us lose a lot of "space". Every wall unfortunately costs space, I notice that myself.
