I like Katja’s design!

That would also be an alternative or did I miss this suggestion somewhere? Then it’s without the bay window.
You could also make a corner bench, which I think is cozy.
Or you could put up a half partition to the living room and place the corner bench there, if you want some privacy from the living room.

Yes, there will be ventilation. No, I don’t prefer a smaller room. The bathroom is simply too big for me, considering it doesn’t bring any added value. I went to the plot again on Saturday and also asked the neighbor if he really wants to build it like that. He says yes. But I still have my doubts. Possibly he only uses one side for the car and the other for something else. He doesn’t have a schedule for it yet, nor a building permit. Whether he will actually get approval for a double garage is also still questionable. His plot used to have only one. I talked to a home builder (wood) and he said about 10k extra for the bay window, max 15k. I think placing the kitchen or the wardrobe, stairs, guest WC in the NW is the most logical approach. In case there is no garage, that’s good; if there is, that’s how it is, and the car is basically well-positioned there and we can get to the house with the bikes from all sides easily.

#89 basically. I also like it and even better, but with the living room in the northwest. I'm undecided about that

Yes, true, similar to #89, but I find the rest of the room layout better in Katja's design (so #103).

Hmm, I think I prefer a bright kitchen and bright dining room rather than sun in the living room. You mainly spend time there in the evening anyway, and by then it's usually already dark or the sun has already set. That's how I think about it. So I don't find it bad but even good.

Yes, I also don't find it so bad, but that is a point of discussion for us. Yes? I would never place a door to the guest bathroom at the dirtiest spot in the house. I wouldn't place the cabinets like that either, because if the stairs are already positioned like that, it makes sense to leave them open or semi-open with a cut wall.

You mean the kitchen door is better placed there?

Can you explain that again in more detail using your floor plan from #1?
