I have already lived in many single-family houses. I can’t even count all the apartments. Who cares? I have also built a house. In addition, I have planned and carried out various other construction projects. How many houses have you built so far? Just out of curiosity, why are you here? What was the question again? Distance between bike shed and garage? That surely means the nifty wind tunnel. The narrower, the funnier would be my answer. :D

One more reason to do without the passage. You don’t even have to go around the house with the bikes (which admittedly is annoying), but can go directly onto a bike path. The house we demolished had exactly such a passage, and what piled up there after 6 months of vacancy nobody would believe, as if a dumpster had been dumped there. If I had to guess I would say you work at Siemens. At least your behavior is typical of Siemens – first ask for advice and then think you know better without addressing any arguments. Well, I’ll now join . Get building. Good luck!

Certainly not. With the rigid way you react, you neither do this professionally nor have practical experience with different room sizes or uses. Or, and I consider this very unlikely, you do this professionally, but then you would really be a lousy service provider, because you are not even able to accept another idea without judging it. But we don’t need to continue here. This is not very constructive and is a waste of time. You don’t like small rooms, we can deal with it, and if you usually have to make disparaging comments with your nose in the air because you cannot accept that others see it differently… fine, if it makes you feel good. No, I don’t work at Siemens, and I do consider arguments, but so far there simply hasn’t been anything we haven’t already thought through. It should still be allowed to explain why something turned out the way it did. For us, it’s actually good, because we have apparently already examined various things and clarified them for ourselves. Of course also the position of the house to the garage, etc. Yes, I would prefer to push the house upward, but I also don’t feel like bringing groceries, etc. from the bike through the garage into the house. One option would be a side entrance, but that would only make sense if the kitchen were nearby, etc. etc. etc.

Hello,

what are we still discussing? You have thought everything through, what exactly do you want to hear?

There will be no one here who praises or confirms your plan, the floor plan is simply and objectively a disaster. Subjectively for you, however, it is exactly what you want. Just implement it that way, no one is stopping you. A sign clerk at the developer will think to himself but will replicate the plan like that, that's what he's there for. And then it will be cemented like that and you will be satisfied.

Best regards

In fact, there is nothing left to discuss. It should never have become a fundamental debate.

Anyone who objectively calls it a disaster should also say why. Missing double-wing patio doors or the pedestrian size of the rooms cannot be the reason. That is far from a disaster.
