Yes, although we actually think the idea of the carport on the west side is not so bad. Swapping the kitchen and living room then has the following effect.
The 4.20 is okay, a bit more through the bay window is also possible. The TV would then be, for example, on the western interior wall. But the 2.70 does not work well. So the space for that would have to be created over the office. I’d gladly take it half a meter shorter, but I wouldn’t know how to make it work well with the living room in the east then. With the living room in the west, you can actually make the house about half a meter smaller. I also have a version somewhere. With the half meter, it’s “airier.” You can notice it in a few spots, at least on the plan already.
The wall behind the door was supposed to function a bit as a privacy screen and provide space for a bookshelf or similar.
We went there again yesterday and looked again at how it behaves if we move the house 3m to the north boundary, 4m away from the west boundary, but keep the 9.25 length. It is definitely a gain for the south when the 1.5m + 1.75m to the garden come in, especially if the house is rotated like in the first plan.
Budget: yes, somewhere around 660k including ancillary building costs, excluding exterior facilities, is my limit. But you have to say that we want a wooden house, and that is definitely more expensive than solid construction, at least based on the offers we have received. I have concrete numbers from prefab builders, but for solid construction only rough estimates so far, no fully worked-out ones yet.
