Yes, that’s what I meant. I wrote that I prefer a proper door. Your pantry door should be hidden, meaning cleverly integrated into the tall cabinets. And in my opinion, that has not been achieved with the asymmetry from wall to wall. Intended but not accomplished, as some might say with a critical tongue. It doesn’t seem to bother you, so okay. That’s how I see it too: the space wonder is great. But before I put waste paper and the yellow sack further to the back, for me it goes toward the exit when the container is full where the garbage accumulates. Where the now large (unsuitable for me) door is, the freezer could have been installed and the door possibly (if there is space) planned around the corner. Could have, would have ... what’s important is that you are happy with it. As I already said: I also think a backup kitchen is great, but in my mind it looks different.

Hi everyone!

The revised draft is now available.
See attached pictures!

The house has become two meters wider (north-south).
Mainly because of the attic, which, due to the single-story nature and the low knee wall (0.8m), is felt to be "the planning bottleneck."

Attic: What are your thoughts, suggestions for changes?
Note: we are probably (if I understand correctly) very close to the 2/3 rule for a full floor). So it can only get much bigger if we also make the ground floor bigger.

The goal was to achieve a bit of an "open feeling" in the attic
-> hence the open space as an attempt to bring some "airiness" in.

Ground floor: What do you think?
For example about the windows / walls? Especially regarding the living-dining area.
Wouldn’t it be better to open more to the west? and possibly bring a bit more "wall" to the south (where the neighbor is "quite close")?

Looking forward to your opinions, thoughts, and tips!

Feel free to ask if you have any questions!!

Best regards and thanks!

Wow, not bad. Aside from the fact that it’s monstrous.

Personally, I don’t like the huge light shafts for the basement. It ruins the garden. I wouldn’t need the rooms down there either. That’s why they wouldn’t be there for me. But that’s different for everyone.

I somehow don’t find the bathroom perfect yet. You almost walk into the sinks.
I would still plan for a laundry chute. But otherwise.

Can you tell me again how much it’s supposed to cost?

The north facade impresses with a cacophony of window formats. The view through the large window behind the lounge chair will not be enjoyed unobstructed: the culprit is not the Bossa Nova, but quite simply the fall protection at the edge of the atrium. Otherwise, it can be left as it is, in my opinion. Nothing is allowed to lie around in the courtyard; it is fully utilized as a "wipe area" for shunting operations.

I haven’t really looked at the demand for why basement rooms now have to become living spaces, but I skimmed through it a bit because: I really don’t like it. In my opinion, the dormers don’t bring any added value, because whether it’s 19 sqm or “only” 16... even with 14 sqm you could have nice children’s rooms or offices or whatever kind of rooms... Instead, the single-family house is equipped with unnecessary frills like dormers... moreover, it also gets two light wells in the basement. Somehow it annoys me that you have panic and fears that the living space might become too tight. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the house doesn’t benefit from this because it just makes it big and bigger.

Honestly: nobody needs over 27 sqm of bathroom space on the upper floor. On the ground floor (I am known to be a true fan of sufficient! cloakroom space for plenty of family members), but even this nicely squared-off area rather puts chaos in the center... maybe close it off, but consider the width of the hallway. The pantry is well located (finally planned and not just lined up), I find the kitchen way too big to cook practically, the living room unfortunately is no longer a room but just a free corner. If I look at it more relaxed, the living room area seems too suppressed compared to the dining area.
