A floor plan with some similarities - however with straight-walled upper floor - we already discussed here two and a half years ago:

I find it quite nice. A few questions: The garage looks good there. But can you make the turn? I'm not a car expert. What is the turning radius of a normal car? OG: The bedroom obviously doesn’t work like this. What was he thinking? But it can probably still be solved. EG: Does it have to be this relaxation zone? It’s nice to have but I don’t see a deep meaning in it. Did it grow because of the basement rooms? Or is it about the L-shape now? Do you have that much money? I would leave it out. Unfortunately, it’s not quite clear to me yet what you want to do with the rooms in the basement? That would be 2 fully-fledged rooms. For what exactly? What would those be? I think that would rather make it seem "pretentious". No, seriously, bigger is not always better. A house that is too big can quickly feel uncomfortable. You don’t want to live in a sports hall. I don’t see any real added value in the 2m. If you have the option, I would rather invest in the furnishings than in extra size.

I don’t think the draft is that bad either, the kitchen is reasonably planned for once, though without exact measurements it’s naturally a bit difficult to evaluate.

I would think twice about having the stairs so close to the kitchen and generally open to the living area, I think despite a good extractor hood, odors will easily travel upstairs as well as noise (putting away the morning dishes from the dishwasher could wake the kids or the partner who is still sleeping).

Is a study on the ground floor necessary with 2 empty rooms in the basement? I believe it’s especially better to work in the basement in summer or are the rooms planned for something else?

I feel the same about the relaxation corner.

I don’t think the house needs much more width.

The bedroom was mentioned, how does the one at the back get into bed? There’s a wall there.

You only make things bigger that are too small. Maneuvering keeps you alert, or rather replaces the breathalyzer test.

A draft at first glance I said, this fits well .. and then came the restrictions that Katja already . And what is the point of 12 instead of 10 m? I would rather reconsider the relaxation corner, study, etc. And of course a somewhat different solution for the master bedroom.

I would probably consider dropping the pantry (there is a cellar anyway) and instead design this additional room on the ground floor to be large enough so that it could also serve as a master bedroom.

The granny flat was dropped, right?
