I am reading through the threads again. I also called our architect and asked for his opinion. His expression was "forced" and "trying to do too much." The attempted solution is that I read in a bit more and at the same time he (he knows the [Raumprogramm], maximum square meters and budget as well as the [Grundstück]) sketches again. Without specifications on which staircase. I am curious.

I am curious as well. I find the upper floor too crowded. I would remove the children's bathroom and possibly reduce the size of the kitchen. It just looks like upscale living in a 200+X villa. The children's rooms feel very cramped and are small compared to the parents' room. I would make the kitchen a bit more practical. There is a lack of storage space.

Please correct: Built-in cupboard under the stairs, utility room with kitchenette, garage with extension, attic are the storage options that come to my mind. Toys stay in the children's rooms. My office stuff in the office.

I am working on the upper floor. I have approved the children's rooms, you can probably tell. The parent's room is also "okay" through the door to the bed, but it could be better. Office is small.

Overall, I agree with this and we will continue to refine it. Thanks for the tips.

That would have been my first point of criticism. In the stairwell, 20m² are consumed, not a single window. I am also a fan of straight staircases, but in my opinion they should be more designed as part of the living area. In the dark stairwell, in my opinion, it brings no design added value and comes with all disadvantages (enormous space requirements). Next point: I also find the parents' bedroom as a "pass-through room" rather unfortunate.

I believe the second sentence. Don’t you at least have nieces and nephews within reach so that you could adjust your image of how real children today actually are? Approved by whom? - I thought the latest draft was distilled by you yourselves over Pentecost from the internal marital discussion of the previous feedback (?) I still lack an idea, 2. of where you stand with the given tips from the ox in front of the mountain and 1. how I am supposed to imagine your own methodological approach that supposedly results in a floor plan that becomes square without prior specification.

Children do not play in the nursery during the first years.
Toys are downstairs and when something great like months-long daycare and school closures happen, everywhere.

You need storage space for lawnmowers, garden tools, charcoal, patio furniture in winter, car tires, bicycles, children's fleet, is your outdoor storage room sufficient?

Tools, dirty laundry (which increases disproportionately with children), supplies, etc.
Take a look at the list from YPG.
Maxi-Cosi, diaper bag, stroller attachment are in the entrance area. Also bad weather clothing for you and your wife. Later the child’s shoes and jackets, kindergarten bag, etc.

In the kitchen vaporizer, powder, milk bottles, pacifiers and co.

Child 1 is out then the stuff for child 2 is collected. You can put it under the roof via the chicken ladder.

Decorations (increase) suitcases etc. can also go upstairs. Many things just increase. Water, supplies, drugstore purchases, etc. even the trash increases. Do not underestimate that. There is not much space in your utility room. Your tools, water crates and co will probably move towards the garage.
