Personally, it would be too dark for me in the morning in the dining room, which is why I would make more window area facing east on the ground floor.

Have a gable roof on a square floor plan themselves

With us, the previous hassle of planning without an overhanging roof. I still don’t see an optimal solution there. But what I’ve already learned: you shouldn’t hold on to things. Then it will just be a cheeky tent roof if necessary.
We need to have both options drawn in 3D sometime.
