New wall, still with provisional power supply for the room:
(11.02.2019)

Due to the reduced room size, we rearranged the furniture, disposed of a cabinet, and installed a new countertop.
(22.03.2019)

The 735mm sliding door came much later. Again, everyone was overwhelmed, but at Hornbach they were able to place a free text order. After eight weeks of delivery time, the door arrived at the end of August and was installed.
(27.08.2019)

Now I only need a carpenter for the matching door frame (hence the gap).

Respect for the work. But then do it properly right away. I don't understand that. You've really done SO much in the kitchen, bathroom, and basement, so you can really do the kitchen and bathroom at the same time. Other than absolute financial distress, I see no reason against it. Especially since you did almost everything else anyway. And taking off tiles and smoothing with Rotband is not a huge effort.

It was primarily due to timing reasons and dependencies on other work. The renovation of the basement walls took much longer than expected. For a complete refurbishment of the bathroom and kitchen, the new heating and electrical system would have already needed to be installed. For us, it was a trade-off between living early in our own house and instead paying additionally for an apartment.

Why then renovate the basement and not primarily the other rooms? Will the basement become living space? And seriously, you really build great things in the kitchen with the partition wall etc. A few slots for the electrical wiring wouldn’t have made any difference at all. And the pipes for the later heating are negligible given the scope.

But whatever, that sounds too negative. I really think the work is good and impressive. Great how much you do yourselves.

And nice that you showed the pipe after the water meter. We redid all the water pipes at our place for the same reason. That’s a great example.

Unfortunately, I can't find any photo of it anymore. But the horizontal sewage pipes were clogged by more than 50%.

Here is an addition from the bathroom. This is what it looked like when the old construction wall at the toilet was removed and the even older one appeared.
