hm - I'm not sure about that. I probably would have come up with a completely different solution and possibly changed the window cutouts.

Oh, this triple-window was the highlight of an architectural era of about twenty years.

Always think that we live in the house. You don't necessarily replace a window lintel there. It couldn't be extended downwards because the stairway is in the way. You could have combined two into one wide one and widened the toilet to the same width. But would two elongated loopholes look better, and what would be their added value?

In the end, there has to be space for it and the appearance has to fit as well.

After all, I managed to fit a 50x54 window into the 51x57 rough opening.

Insulation added and profiles/fabric glued.
