Now I also have to say something about the woodchip wallpaper, since you apparently can't quite warm up to it (at least that's how it seems to me). Currently, I also have fine-grain woodchip wallpaper in my condominium, and I can't understand what's so bad about this absolutely low-maintenance wallpaper. Holes can be patched almost invisibly, damages can be relatively easily removed with a tube of paint, and settlement cracks are not visible either. I am seriously considering using woodchip wallpaper again in my new house. Not because of the costs, but for the reasons mentioned above.

You don't have to immediately threaten with a huge lawsuit. But if I were you, I would at least like to know whether everything really holds up. Even if the lawyer approves the approach and I can bite the bullet with peace of mind, without constantly wondering if I've been screwed over.

If the lawyer thinks it's not lawful, you can initially work with a letter directed at the [GU]. That won't immediately turn into a huge lawsuit.

well, Pinkiponk's husband is my age group. We all grew up with [Raufaser], it was inexpensive and you can paint over it. Eventually, you get so tired of [Raufaser] and by now I have been decorating my home with high-quality wallpaper from the specialist store for several decades. I eagerly await the day I can fly to London again and spend hours lingering in my favorite wallpaper shop. From time to time, I have samples sent to me, but that is no comparison to rummaging through wallpaper catalogs. Wallpapers and carpets ... nice.

The walls always look slightly grayish because the small bumps cast slight shadows on the surface. This is even more noticeable on colored walls.

I can relate to that. If I had a country style or another style, but not my rather puristic one, I would probably also have some kind of wallpaper like that.

From my point of view, you were ambushed, brazenly ripped off, and at the same time wrapped up in the delusion that this was relatively just a black eye—all staged according to the cheapest coffee tour dramaturgy. If I imagine for a moment not being a businessman but a lawyer, then I see in the setting of this coup a doorstep transaction—with all its consequences, including those of the right of withdrawal. And I fear that the euphoria over the supposedly thankfully small injuries will last until the withdrawal period has expired. I hope that the withdrawal instruction has been omitted ;-) In any case, I see good chances for you to get out of the contract or at least to turn the fifteen percent into a reasonable seven point eight (assuming completion within twelve months after the price guarantee expires). This is my sincere assessment from my practice as a former assistant to a debt mediator. I have read your argument that you want to choose the path of the scapegoat for health reasons. I do not advise you not to see a lawyer, but precisely because of that. Professionally, the lawyer will make your personal worries his business—so you can take it easy, and the house provider will still rightly get his ears pulled by Lady Justice. I wish you loving people around you when you wake up and realize how brazenly you have been robbed. I personally know (from prisoner social work, I have not always made windows after all) several fraudsters who would be ashamed of what your "contract partner" has allowed himself here with you.
