True!
Yes, I am a big troll, fat and sweaty
I am neither soaking wet nor sweaty nor do I drive as fast as possible [emoji39]I also know such an expert. Always drives as fast as possible on the highway, also says that's no problem at all, but after every highway drive is always soaking wet and sweaty.
In Munich, I would say yes. It's a good salary but not outstanding. If I had to give school grades from 1-6, I would give a 3+. In Schwerin it would be a 2+, in Friedland or similar small towns in Mecklenburg almost a 1-.
Wow I didn't know my thread would escalate like this.
We no longer feel average with our salary. Of course, you also adjust your lifestyle, and instead of going to Jesolo once a year, you take 3 or 4 (short) vacations and then one long-distance trip per year, but otherwise we actually live rather frugally.
And yes, we also drive nice cars, but the luxury we allow ourselves today with vacations and cars is something I am reluctant to give up just because of a house. Yes, we reduce, but in moderation.
That's also why the financing rate is low.
And the reason why we haven't saved much more yet is because we haven't had such an income for long and because education or other things like the wedding have been very expensive in recent years. Now the saving really begins.
Wow, last month a headhunter wanted to recruit me for the largest German leasing company headquartered in Bad Homburg.
When it came to salary expectations, he initially mentioned 80 K EUR gross (with 5 years of relevant professional experience), but when I openly told him that I have only that amount of experience and due to 2 children and building a house a non-completed (but diploma-free) degree, he corrected to 60 - 65 K EUR.
When I kindly pointed out that the rent (or loan installment) for a comparable new building within a 20-minute radius of Bad Homburg costs at least 2000 euros, he had no answer and I politely declined. Let some other fool take the offer. Even 80 K EUR seemed like a joke considering the real estate costs there.
