No building land due to new EU native model?

Thank you for your opinions, but the discussions unfortunately drift towards commuting. Unfortunately, not everyone can work anywhere they want, for example, as a professor you always have to travel to larger cities. It’s similar for us.

And we have already come to terms with a maximum commuting time of 1 hour. That’s just about bearable. What is not bearable are land prices in the Munich metropolitan area of over 1000€/m2.

And we are used to the rural surroundings and also appreciate them.

Only the question remains how and where we can get something like that.

We are also happy to pay more than through the local resident model, but not three to four times more on the open market.

Nothing helps other than searching, searching, searching and continuing to save. Possibly then staying with the affordable rent after all. Given your income, not a bad idea. You belong to the upper class of income. Regarding the topic of commuting, I understand the discussion, but one weighs the income and construction prices against commuting time.

Well, what can one say about such an attitude? You want something that simply doesn’t exist (like that, for you, in the area...)! What do you want to do now? Stamp your foot angrily and threaten to split yourself in half? Life is not fair, but this forum will not change that. Solution: wait, save more (as was rightly noted above, this should be easily possible), hope for a bit of luck.

Sure, you didn’t want to hear that, but that’s the reality! And forgive me, but with such an income situation, your request here is really complaining at a high to very high level!

You can also try with a lawsuit. In the worst case, the community then saves itself the local resident model (provided it is not legally finalized) and does nothing at all or sells everything at the normal market price. The demand is there after all...

It hits the nail on the head. If you don’t like it, you can just skip or ignore it.

If children are planned anyway in 1-2 years, one should at least take that into consideration in one’s thoughts, and it corresponds to the facts.

Ever participated in such a point game? The husband hires the wife as a cleaning lady just to get 3 extra points.

The statement is still nonsense, no one is going to talk to you for 7 hours in the morning.
And no, you cannot nearly as well talk on the phone in the car as you can in the office. I have a colleague who does it occasionally in a new 5 Series, current model, so it should be state-of-the-art in terms of technology, soundproofing, etc. He often can't quite follow, can't make his points, and when we discuss a few slides, it completely breaks down. Although sometimes he even tries to look at the slides/numbers beforehand and remember as much as possible.
