On Pinterest, there are instructions for creating meal plans so you don't have to think about what to cook.

There have always been interchangeable pots, you just have to buy them separately. Just like you buy a new gasket or a new spatula. I also don’t understand why some people here feel so attacked by the mere existence of a kitchen appliance. Just like with Apple devices, non-users are worse missionaries than the most devoted fans could ever be… My Thermomix can’t do guided cooking at all, it’s too old for that – unfortunately I haven’t had to decide yet whether a cheap clone would do, because there simply weren’t any at the time. It can do some things really well. Semolina pudding, fruit ice cream, melting things, perfect yeast dough in 2 minutes (which I can also do by hand or with the MUM, but both take much longer), but also asparagus (with the hollandaise sauce, which is ready in about 5 minutes, so not long at all), Königsberger meatballs, things that require melted gelatin, soups, broth paste, etc. It can’t do some things very well, and then I just do those differently, I don’t have an exclusive contract with Vorwerk after all… Anyone who tries to chop non-ground meat with it has almost certainly done something wrong, probably forgot the reverse button or something. My favorite toy at the moment is my new sous-vide stick by the way. Another useless gimmick but at least it wasn’t that expensive and takes up less space.

Then I wonder what kind of consultants are out there sometimes.

Does Sous-Vide not work in the TM as well? I think it maintains the temperature quite well.

I suspect Vorwerk had patents. How long has the TM existed? 30 years?
The imitators have only been around for a few years. No wonder they don't come close to the original. Cheaper and lacking experience.

Does anyone have the Beefer?

He cannot cool. Pre-freeze ingredients or use dry ice.

I have that too, but I use the cutting tool too rarely... assembling it is difficult for me

You’re not seriously comparing a Swiss Army knife costing 50... 80€ with the nearly 1500€ TM?

...with a second pot already a used small car

Not me

Replacement pots. There are also offers where if 3 of your friends order, you get a second one for free.

No, no, it’s actually like this: the fillet is minced for a few seconds so that it gets about goulash-size. However, TM cannot do it evenly. Anyone who takes a closer look at how the vegetables look in salads or so will see that a lot becomes unappetizing. This can be well seen in broccoli salad. I noticed this during a presentation.

It’s not that I totally reject the thing. Only, in my opinion, the finished products are talked up too nicely to justify the price. Some dip or hummus, tzatziki, feta paste etc. can also be made by a small device costing 10€. This exact device also chops nuts, parmesan or garlic for me when I am too lazy. Only cooking is not possible with the 10€ device. Neither stirring. Some other things aren’t either.

I have dealt with Krups, TM, Aldi and co because I don’t feel like making sauces. But I told myself now that even Krups at 400€ is still too expensive, even if I would let it work for me on the side.

Instead, I have now treated myself to a cold press juicer. Not only because of the juice, the pomace also holds some new ideas for cooking.

What is that?

There are also a few kitchen appliances lying around here. But TM is not among them. I don't need it. Whoever enjoys that device should get one. However, I only know the TM from ladies who can't cook. One once served me a goulash from the TM. The meat was tough, the sauce was solid enough to cut. It was more like a aspic. She also noticed that the sauce was too thick and that she had added too little water in cooking step 2 - but she didn't come up with the simple remedy.

I am more than satisfied with my MUM8. It can handle 2kg of bread dough, and since I bought a silicone beater, butter is also whipped wonderfully fluffy or the crumble dough is kneaded. The MUM and its accessories will get their own cabinet in the new kitchen, a lot has accumulated, all of which is in use. The dicer alone is a huge contraption. The ice cream machine with compressor is on the shelf for ice cream.

Only one single thing about the TM would tempt me: stirring at a preset temperature. But that can probably be realized otherwise.

But there will never be a separate or hidden prep kitchen. A kitchen is a kitchen is a kitchen. You work in it, and sometimes it temporarily looks messy. Just a kitchen.

([distant relatives built a new house on the property next to the existing house many years ago. The new house was completely furnished, very high-quality with high-gloss tiles, glass tables, leather couch, outrageously expensive kitchen. However, the family continues to live in the old house to preserve the new one - the visitors are only shown around there....])
