The retirement home comment was made by a consultant (I only know a few meals). She herself said that the spices were somewhat lacking. You would really have to season it yourself based on your own experience. It’s also the case for me that I once made the broccoli salad (without TM) and I re-seasoned it because it was very... neutral...

I know the famous broccoli salad and it’s very simple: It’s missing 1.5 teaspoons of vinegar and a pinch of salt.

But between us: One of the poorer TM recipes. There’s definitely room for improvement even with what’s already there.

Ever made a zabaglione?

Once. I'm not a sweet person, nor a fan of dessert

Cool, I've never measured vinegar or salt, at most with my cupped hand. But thanks for the tip. I surely seasoned it accordingly, I just don't remember for sure

Even though I completely agree with you about the TM, I want to slightly disagree here, because whether something is too expensive or not, be it TM, iPhone, or a visit to a Michelin-starred restaurant, is actually always a personal matter, right? It depends on the available budget, the usage profile, and the individual requirements for the good piece, I would say. Regarding the TM: it is too expensive for me because assisted cooking is a horror to me, as is a completely planned cooking process. I enjoy cooking, so I don’t need everything to be planned out down to the minute to make the best use of the TM as a tool. That’s just not my use case. For others, it will look completely different. Same goes for the iPhone: unpack, turn on, it works. Fits smoothly into the Apple ecosystem. For me, it is a workhorse that saves me a lot of time. I don’t experience the limitations it might have compared to an Android. I never felt the need to root the system, access the file system directly, or anything like that. It runs and runs and runs and runs – and I also like it visually. My SE cost around €400, which was absolutely worth it for me. Someone else will certainly see it differently. And whether there is an apple on the back or not, I don’t care, it’s in a case anyway, so you can’t see it...
