"Assisted Cooking". That's supposed to be convenient, see Thermomix. The user is ideally supposed to unlearn cooking or not learn it at all, so they become dependent on this crap. Then comes pay per use or recipes exclusive from the manufacturer for coin insertion.

I'm also not a fan of taking away all talent and intelligence from people. Mindfulness and TRUE happiness quickly get lost in the process. Everything is just trimmed for speed and efficiency.

How wonderful it can be to prepare a cake with organic ingredients from the market, painstakingly stirring the batter by hand and then baking it in the oven with a rotary knob. Looking inside several times, poking it, and when it's done, sneaking the first warm bite. Just like at grandma's.

P.S. Nevertheless, high-quality kitchen aids absolutely have their place, including a Thermomix or a Kitchenaid.

What you find so nice! Kneading organic cake. Can you knit too? I'm more into winterizing lawn mowers, with oil change and Caramba in the combustion chamber. Just finished, that was nice. K.

And I have people around me who do not want to learn to cook but want to eat home-cooked food. The health-conscious non-cook is indeed a questionable mindset, but a person's will is his kingdom of heaven. They buy the Thermomix. And I have one too. I use it as an ice cream maker, dough kneader, cocktail maker, risotto stirrer, semolina mill, coffee machine for gatherings, etc. All without a recipe. And sometimes also the recipe function, if I find it interesting. In the end, the device is often in use – although I can definitely cook and also like to do so without it. It’s often about time management, especially when several things appear simultaneously on my schedule for buffets.

But I can already see that such an extreme usage pattern like mine might make things useful that normally wouldn’t be.

For me, the lawnmower is battery-powered, preferably a robot. I’m not interested in football at all. So organic cake is okay, and the Thermomix certainly.

I find cooking annoying. If I could, I would hire a chef. Honestly, even before a cleaning help. But a Thermomix still won't come into my house. I have come to love the steam cooker though, just put the potatoes in and done, they turn out so delicious, I only need some butter and salt with them. Or raclette cheese

Otherwise, as already mentioned, I am a Miele advocate, only the refrigerator doesn't have to be from them. So far, I don't like the interior layout there.
