Again on the topic: Since we haven't had a TV for years either, I was also faced with the question.
My current solution: I attached a Sat-IP converter to my neighbor's dish (we are related). This now transmits free TV via the shared network. I therefore do not need satellite sockets, but can receive any channel on any reasonably current device with LAN/Wi-Fi. So if I want, the World Cup runs on the projector and the tablet at the same time. And not only better (because less compressed), but also about a minute more up-to-date than via the internet live streams.
