I wouldn't necessarily include Wi-Fi in the discussion now. One has nothing to do with the other. One is about how, the other about what. Wi-Fi is a crutch to get on the internet, not to make the use of the TV acceptable.
It is still a crutch. Within one floor that might still work, but after the concrete ceiling there is not much left for a stable reception at all. For a mobile phone and notebook that can be okay, for all I care also the TV right next to the access point. But otherwise? Just a crutch.
No, not really :-P You simply deny my latest experiences...(I stream FullHD with Wifi) without providing any other arguments. But, whatever, other readers will be able to get their information themselves.
That was also my experience until 2018, but now because of 5GHz? new hardware? software? drivers? 802.11n? I get the full 200GB with Wi-Fi even on the upper floor, although the access point is on the ground floor...
