Is a "Free TV" connection still worthwhile?

I have also thought for a long time about giving up Sat and cable.

Our electrician, who is one of the more expensive in the region, listed all costs separately for us. The Sat outlets cost 96,- each and the system on the roof costs 639,- net in total.

Thus, a total of about 1500,- gross can be saved – it was not worth it to us. If we really switch over and no longer use Sat in a few years, then so be it.

I haven’t had cable TV or any kind of TV reception for 7 years. There’s only rubbish on anyway. The satellite dish that was on the roof here flew off when the photovoltaic system was installed. Nowadays everything goes through the internet, media libraries or series streaming providers. I only watch free series streaming now, where everything from Netflix, for example, is also available. The advantage is that you don’t have to wait for the German version and can also binge-watch when you discover a "new" old series with 12 seasons again.

I actually can't explain that to myself legally, without wanting to imply something here.

There are some legal free streaming providers, but there is an ad feeling like every 5 minutes. I don't think anyone voluntarily puts up with that!
