I like his style, always a bit cheeky but direct and honest. Don’t let yourself be softened up, that’s the mentality of the Teddy Bear throwers and there are far too many of them.

Our property is a good 700m2 and that’s okay. But in my opinion, you still sit too close to the street and neighbors.

With 380m2 it’s unimaginable, I wouldn’t build anymore there. But everyone has to decide that for themselves. Better a nice condo, which also has many advantages.

I don’t find that bad either. Content-wise honest – yes, as a questioner you have to be able to deal with rejection. But : You could also write in complete sentences. It is often not understandable for newcomers what you mean with the inserted words. That then can’t be classified by a newcomer, i.e. the questioner, and has a big negative aspect. No matter how the answer turns out or is meant. I have also asked questions once in a forum unknown to me. Someone who only has a short no left appears very arrogant and didn’t help me at all without explanation. Another added a short reason to his no and I was wiser, had my answer, but not from the one who only had one word left. He just appeared negatively to everyone, although his answer had the same aspect. Somehow we have to keep a bit of respectful interaction!

Ok full sentences: please dear OP, reconsider and rather build ETW or further away. Just not Town & Country and compromises on the ridiculously expensive mini plot. That is my advice

The issue with expressing a direct opinion is always a problem when you consider your opinion to be the truth... there are people who have an opinion and are still aware that they could be wrong. It's called self-reflection. Or teddy bear throwing, depending on who you ask .

Regarding the purely mathematical concept of making compromises more on the house than on the land with a fixed budget, the interjection "ETW instead of indentured servitude" contributed absolutely nothing because it wasn't at all about how much you want to spend IN TOTAL.
Moreover, ETWs have also become insanely expensive; newly built ones cost over €3000 per sqm. Price-performance ratio is therefore not great.
I'd much rather have Town & Country on a handkerchief, which cheekily costs 250k.

Ooooor stay in the old rental contract if possible, but who can really do that?

No no everything is fine, everyone should do as they think. One just wants to provoke some thinking. By the way, here is a good example of what happens with cheap and budget. When the financial pressure is there without reserves, it usually gets tricky:
