You come back from vacation and receive a gas price increase by email. Briefly overviewed: usage price doubled, basic price 25% more expensive. And you, who also have a gas heating system? I know… who else?

I wanted to switch both electricity tariffs a month ago … it's not that easy at the moment :) The usual comparison portals only provide a fraction of the results, none are cheaper than the local supplier there. In the end, I still found a good option, away from the portals

We have a tank in the garden, the supplier is fixed. We currently buy the gas every 1.5 years. In spring, I thought I'd wait until it gets cheaper again. About a month ago, I ordered after all. Since then, it has gone up 12 cents per liter again. Just in time. But we still paid more than twice as much compared to last year.

That's just crazy!

I signed my contract in February with a 2-year price guarantee. But I wouldn't be surprised if I still get an increase through some loopholes...

Not bad. The price increase confirms my decision to integrate a brine-water heat pump into the new building and to support it with a larger photovoltaic system. Yes, in the months when electricity is needed, the least electricity is produced. But at least some is fed in via photovoltaics :-) And gas prices will continue to know only one direction.
