Yes, that may be a lead-in, but it has no place here. There are plenty of threads in the forum discussing the (lack of) meaningfulness of gas heating...

..or other nonsense, e.g. houses that consume land resources with their oversized floor area. Whatever.

I certainly do not promote it, but I admit that I have been and still am very satisfied with our gas heating. I also have nothing against a price increase if it happens moderately.*

If we had received €25,000 in subsidies in 2013, when we built, we would now also have a photovoltaic system on our roof. I’m not complaining, but I find it quite questionable whether this glorification has to take place in every thread now.

*Anyway: as of 1/1/22 we now have a new contract, and it’s where we also get our electricity. Overall, it was still cheaper without bonuses than all Check24 “offers”. With roughly €10/15 more per month now, life is good again. Anyone who looks into it now sees that 14 cents AP is completely disproportionate – we are now back at 7.7 cents (rounded).

Photovoltaic systems are still subsidized with more than 100%. The subsidy is called "feed-in tariff." Installed in 2013, the system would now be paid off and one would be making good money. Sorry and BTT.

Yes, that may well be. It’s just what is known as liquefied gas.

So far, our supplier, the municipal utilities of Ratzeburg, Mölln, and Oldesloe, is still keeping quiet. I guess it will happen on 1.4., when the second year is over and the price lock ends. We'll see. So far, it has been a very fair contractual relationship; it doesn't have to be the cheapest, it also has to provide good, clear quality gas, smile …. or it has to be affordable over the years. Because switching annoys me. Always this unrest in everything.

Price jumps are unpleasant for many. I can remember that during the oil crisis my parents lowered the room temperature. Today we are very much in favor of saving energy but always without loss of comfort or giving up habits. That will change for some. For many households, the cost increases are a noticeably significant factor. This will continue because a paradigm shift is underway, which allocates climate costs to the polluters instead of, as before, first ignoring them and then socializing them. I also consider the principle to be correct; now one must, conversely, socialize the hardships that this means for many people – in other words, direct support there.
