Doesn't it actually occur to anyone how ridiculous it is to attack each other personally and escalate things because of heating systems (!)? Always the same principle: know-it-all attitude meets hypersensitivity and vice versa - seasoned with a bit of pleasure in mockery and provocation. A kindergarten quarrel over a sand mold has more factual basis.

Children resolve conflicts better and more socially anyway...... until the first, know-it-all adult arrives......

Today I participated in a discussion with the DNGB (German Sustainable Building Council - they certify eco-buildings such as hotels, offices, logistics, etc., and also partially take on tasks for the KfW in this area).

Clear statement: Without a heat pump, there will be no green houses in the future. The set goals, whether in terms of sustainability, ESG, or EU taxonomy, cannot be achieved otherwise. And this will also impact small homeowners with full force. I’m just saying "Kfw 40" as the new efficiency house.

It could also be done completely differently. In DK, even in rural areas, ecological district heating is used. Feel free to take a look at the pictures on aerö fjernwarme punkt dk, huge solar panel fields produce the hot water there. If there is no sun, then gas.

Do you mean me as the thread creator and previous speaker? It was €73 and would be €161 from 1.1.22. Thanks for asking.

In the meantime, I have posted the current status here: My provider apparently no longer deals in “gas”, at least doesn’t offer it anymore (probably they didn’t buy any gas), doubles! the price and drives attentive customers to another provider. I belong to those and switched to my electricity provider yesterday. I am now in a normal price sector, about 15% higher than now. I got upset about an over 100% increase , while others here actually didn’t question whether that is even real. For me, everything is back in order. Each to their own. Electricity is getting more expensive too. Gasoline has also become more expensive. ;)

A heating system change is not an option for us. Why should it be?! It works efficiently and reliably, and is only 8 years old. It’s just existing stock ;)

We never wanted a “green house”, always a white one! We don’t drive diesel, have reduced our flights, I increasingly ride my bike to work in summer, my husband goes grocery shopping on foot. I grow vegetables myself. In that respect, I have to say that I can still stand tall – I don’t have to switch and I’m not ashamed either. I’m curious when the first person here will complain about or be surprised by increased or high electricity prices.

… and what I forgot: the solar heat! Our house benefits from well-positioned window surfaces. Nothing is darkened even in winter. The house heats up well, the tiles store the heat.
Our heating system is therefore hardly stressed at all. But who wants to compare that?
That was already almost an excuse. I’ll leave it like that anyway.

But then you probably wouldn’t be independent?! Many don’t like that …
