What exactly do you mean? The building authority said a garage/carport in the southeast could also be built outside the building boundary if the distance to the public traffic area is at least 2.5 m. I could move the garage about 1.5 m forward and thus create more space and maybe also light in the garden at the back.

What do you want to store anyway? Appliances and sheet cakes hardly fit through 60cm, and neither do yellow bags. So there isn’t much left that you need to store. Personally, I think the space here is too valuable: as I said before, I don't see the generousness you want anymore. That’s why I would play Tetris again. If a pantry, then accessible without a bottleneck, but not at the expense of the kitchen. Yes, me too, when I first moved in. I also had a bit more than before. Now I have extended ;) A side-by-side fridge also had to come because a 60cm fridge wasn’t enough. There’s more and more coming, and once you start cooking with your children ;) ... I think it's enough.

That would be your option: 5! (not 4) meters in front of a garage or 2.50 in front of a carport. The latter would give you more open window area in the south and thus bring your dream a little closer.

Do you mean a single garage within the building boundary in the north and a carport 2.5m in front of the street in the southeast?
There would still be the option, as it is now – to move the double garage in the southeast forward to the 2.5m line.
I personally would prefer this option a bit more, provided there is enough sun on the terrace. Why? A narrow single garage in the north would have a lousy driveway because of the slope.

Just say that right away :)

I have already mentioned the building use ordinance here.

No, I meant instead of the garage.
But since you only need 2.5 meters, I would build only that too. Then rearrange laundry room, pantry, kitchen and entrance :)

Phew, I’m relieved. I will definitely keep the garage as is: southeast boundary, 2.5m to the street. What ideas do you have for the floor plan? My head is buzzing from playing Tetris o_O. As already mentioned, the staircase would have to remain as is or be changed in such a way that two children's rooms could be planned facing the street. I also like the glazed connection between the garage and the house. Here I would definitely enable direct access to the terrace, so visitors have a short way to the garden and don’t always have to walk through the whole house.
