A sliding door usually has poorer sound insulation,
Thanks for the hint. I hadn't thought of that.
I share the concern. However, the door is drawn running in front of the wall and effectively narrows the usable stair width at the exit.
That was just my internal drawing. The sliding door would be built 100% into the wall.
I always wonder why someone plans a children's bathroom and then makes it as tiny as a guest bathroom at 3.5 sqm, while building themselves a 9 sqm spa.
Do you all really think the bathroom is that tiny? It should only be enough for showering and brushing teeth in the morning and before going to bed - so that we don’t get in each other’s way. The large master bathroom is of course open to everyone and not reserved for the parents only.
I would keep the entrance closed as much as possible and instead plan a large glass area facing the terrace. For the person entering, the effect is almost the same but you still have privacy.
If I close it, it will be dark. One half of the window will be able to open. This way, the children’s friends can go directly from the street into the garden without having to walk through the living room.
