Such craftsmen should do something else ....

Being a craftsman is something you live or give up.

My carpenter (also a master roofer) was on site with me and looked at my roof from the scaffolding. Someone else had roofed the roof, it was not completely covered (it was summer and the roofer was on vacation).

He stroked the roof tiles and said slightly annoyed: "such a beautiful roof tile, but why wasn’t the roof completely covered?"

He is 60, but looks like 40.

It's a pity, they are becoming fewer and fewer.

Of course, this is happening less and less. The youth are also being discouraged from it. I have seen it with friends. The child really wants to learn to be a baker. Even the doctor during the initial examination tries to talk him out of it. Even the Chamber of Crafts wanted him to start later and do something else first. He is too young, occupational safety, etc. And he is one of those. The guy is a baker with body and soul. Rarely have I seen someone so relaxed after work. School problems like blown away in vocational school

Here I am again, "virus-related." Fresh from three weeks at the Baltic Sea in the most beautiful weather and luckily on an almost deserted beach.

Luckily, no one on our side knowingly had the virus, but it still changed life a bit, and it was necessary to manage working hours and parenting time simultaneously. Overall, it worked very well, and I am glad to have been able to spend so much time with the children since March. Since there was still quite a bit to do on the house, actually more in the garden, there was, among other things, no time for the forum.

Financially, the lockdown did not additionally strain us. We have now paid almost all services in full. In the end, it was tighter than expected, but the important thing is that we now live in it, have settled in, and feel very comfortable. The lockdown has prompted me to rethink quite a lot and define new goals. Well, I don’t want to digress too much now...

View from the ground floor balcony into the garden:

Lawn terrace 1:

Lavender slope (210 pcs.) terrace 3. Meanwhile a colorful hustle and bustle. Partly up to definitely 100 butterflies and countless bees.

And the house from the south side:

In the north, we have progressed further with the outdoor area than I thought. It was quite complicated with the many different and fixed elevation points.
