I also like the color better. Because Ug becomes more neutral in color, the structure does not appear as massive. Further good success.

Thank you for the feedback. It’s probably not that simple after all. I looked up lightness reference values for RAL colors.

"The lightness reference value is the reflection level of a color tone between black = 0 and white = 100. It indicates how far the color tone is from the black or white point.
RAL 7016 - Anthracite gray, for example, has a lightness reference value of 8. RAL 9010 - pure white, on the other hand, has one of 85.
In the middle range is RAL 1000 - Green beige with 52%."

RAL 6013 has 20%, RAL 5014 21%. So these are "out."

Oh, window color, how could it be otherwise: anthracite gray

If you really want the colors, they don’t necessarily have to be out. On ETICS the HBZ should be >20, but you can also use special colors or reinforcements, then darker is also possible. Our color has an HBZ of 21.53 and some additive ("protect") is added. Our walls are monolithic (pumice with insulation filling), but we also have small parts with ETICS. According to the plastering company, that’s absolutely no problem...

Short update. Backfilling of Terrace 1 is temporarily on hold. The youngest brother separated the clutch cable of the dumper into two parts. So over the weekend we switched to other tasks and the first green accents have been made. A privet hedge was planted. Additionally, three peonies, which we received from the neighbors. And below the lowest terrace, three grape varieties (green: Jana / blue: Venus / red: Einset seedless). All grapes for direct tasting.

I have been on parental leave for a week. I am happy to continue working on the outdoor facilities quickly with the support of relatives. The other side of the coin: you become aware of what else is going on at the construction site. Frustrating! You fix mistakes left by the trades or things that are simply forgotten yourself. You set so much in motion, even though you actually don’t want to anymore. You pay so much money and somehow no craftsman is really motivated. Sometimes it’s simply a lack of skills. But stalling tactics, like suddenly saying that stock goods are no longer available, really wear you out. I don’t want to go into too much detail now.

But I don’t even want to know how the construction site would run if my father didn’t stop by every day (and help out).

At least the children are having fun! We brought the heat pump ourselves from the street into the basement with the help of neighbors. Another thing like that... But it’s just standing there waiting to be connected. This delays the heating of the screed until calendar week 45. All in all, this means the floor will only be installed in calendar weeks 3-5 of 2020. And our apartment must be vacated by 31.12. But we have already overcome so much, so this will work out too.

It's been a while since the last "report". Current status: exterior plaster and drywall (bathrooms) are finished. Great work by the guys!

The heat pump has been running since 07.11.2019 at 12:00 PM. Before that, we filled the ground collector ourselves with antifreeze. That's another rip-off trap. You can fill in relatively expensive pre-mixed antifreeze rated for up to -45 degrees. We procured concentrate and mixed it with the very soft tap water. The mixture should withstand -20 degrees. The price is about ¼ of the ready-made mixture. The heat pump switches off at a flow temperature of -5 degrees anyway. Even if the ground collector (at a depth of at least 1.5m) should freeze, the PE pipe accommodates the expansion. You can annually check the freezing point (just like with a car). If necessary, the service life until complete replacement is shorter, but given the price ratio, even twice as many replacements are still worthwhile.

We accomplished filling the brine using a rain barrel and a pond pump. At first, the experts were skeptical, but we were able to fill the 4 circuits with 300m each (and the section from the distributor to the heat pump about 50m) completely air-free.

We extended the 14-day heating program to 30 days to be on the safe side with the drying level. In the first 14 days, daily to every two days "ups and downs", the last 16 days full throttle with 50-degree underfloor heating. It costs electricity (about 200 kW per day), but at least the system runs very well. The brine fluid is still at +2 degrees. On days with a flow temperature of 25 degrees, the consumption for just under 350m² was 2-3 kW. That’s a more positive figure.

Exterior plaster. At the very beginning, I always said I didn't want a white house with gray windows and a gray roof… Well, you can see the pictures in the attachment. We had actually agreed on a gray-brown tone for the house, but the reasons against were, on the one hand, the costs. The paint was applied twice, and this should guarantee a neat, clean appearance for the coming years, even decades.

The heat pump will run at full throttle until 07.12. The CM value is supposed to be measured on weekdays next week. Let's see what comes out of it; some experience is still missing with a total of just under 30 cm screed (lightweight screed and anhydrite screed or cement screed in the bathroom). The plan is to start tiling in calendar week 50. We will glue the parquet over Christmas. Thus, the move on 29-30.12 could work out. We have to be out of the apartment by 31.12. It will be somewhat rustic without final installation at first, but at least inside.

Oh, and the lawn is also picking up speed again. It was good not to take the cheapest seed. Even with frost, it grows well. You can see some green in the picture from the south.

Provisionally (only on sand), we paved the access path to the attic on a Saturday.
