The structural engineering also cost us a five-figure sum. Luckily, still quite early in the construction phase.

The two terraces are emerging laboriously and in small steps. Slow and steady wins the race, as the squirrel also knows. We have one on the property as well. It apparently lives to the west and, on its way to the hazelnut bush standing to the east, it always has to pass by the lower children's rooms. They are, of course, thrilled by the fluffy wanderer and are always happy about its several daily dashes past.

Oh, and I was already complaining about my 1m, 1.3m & 1.5m L-stones over 67m.
This is a whole different caliber, holy cow!
Everything is enclosed from all sides, including terracing.

The setting work is now done. At first, no one knew it would be so time-consuming. There was always plenty of lean concrete underneath and it was welded together. In addition, it was set very meticulously (to our delight). Several working hours went into it at, how shall I say, a respectful hourly wage. We are satisfied with the result.

Now it's time for the next steps. For example, the planting. This is also eagerly awaited by the neighbors, as they don’t really warm up to the concrete. Concrete walls that are in the neighbors’ line of sight will be "hidden" with plants in neighborhood coordination. This is also new territory for us. But above all, I’m incredibly excited to dive into the flora. However, this now means hauling numerous wheelbarrows of topsoil up the slope...

The neighbors would also get used to the concrete. It's just unusual at first because there was nothing before. I'm already looking forward to the final result. It will surely be great.

Do not dive too deep. I find at least once a week that I am missing about 5,000 sqm.
