I always get a bit scared from 1m height . Climbing down the ladder requires the greatest courage from me. Even the famous 10 horses wouldn't be able to get me into the excavator.

Is insulation still going on? Our hillside concrete wall was insulated from the inside. Sounds familiar to me. I don’t think I would have gone into the excavation pit. The plasterers specially built me a mobile staircase in there, otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to ventilate for screed drying. I can’t get to another floor by ladder.

Insulation is still to come! First (e.g.) black putty for bonding the insulation. As insulation on the outside, 120mm extruded polystyrene rigid foam boards.
