I’m terribly sorry, but I don’t understand half of that. What exactly does all that mean? Sorry, we were given the name of an architect here in Stuttgart. Of course, I assume that he will deal with the development plan. As a layperson, you can expect that, right? And yes, it is the first house we are building. I understand that the property is problematic. But I don’t understand the other things above. Could you explain that again in a different way? Thanks

The plot is not stupid. The development plan is perhaps a bit strict, but that's what you get for living in the city.

Excerpt:
"...Building line along Nibelungenstraße as well as the building line along Heinrichstraße south of Hagenstraße. Exceeding the building line or receding behind the building line is not permitted here."

So recesses are indeed not allowed on Nibelungenstr.

I wonder if this simultaneously fixes the shape of the main building? What if I want to build a 3-gable house or a dwarf house? Would the 3rd gable then be interpreted as a recess?
Is a single-story construction at the building line, to which a two-story construction is connected at the rear, also considered a recess?

It seems to me that the interpretation of the development plan is very vague and supports the city in rejecting everything that doesn't appeal to them visually. Looking at numbers 101 and 103, strictly speaking, you could also talk about an L-shaped recess there. Can one therefore assume that building like that is also allowed here – just smaller?
It's a pity that Dimeto is not here.

, ... you have now looked into the development plan. I'm not very good at that. Can planning now be done with 2 full stories? Or does it have to be a trick involving a knee wall over 180cm or something? Thanks :)

• maximum permissible eaves height = 7 m
• maximum permissible ridge height = 12 m
...as far as I could read.

That should be comfortably enough for 2 stories.
