Eyes open when choosing an architect. Whether someone is formally authorized to use this professional title is easily recognizable and verifiable; the membership number with the chamber is usually on their stamp. The owed service is merely an approvable design – whether they have to revise it is not said. Unfortunately, they are not legally obligated to provide beauty of the result or love for the profession; one must take responsibility for choosing the right person oneself. That the client’s interaction with the service provider still had potential, I read from the remark that he had rotated the house and changed the staircase without coordination. For me, that is not open to interpretation but a clear sign that the guy does not comply.
The financial damage caused by extra rounds in the building permit process would be a serious matter. But that Father Braun is more versed in the Bible than Bishop Hemmelrath also unfortunately happens with architects. In large offices, single-family houses are often tucked into the “peanuts” drawer and planned at the little table of eager interns.
