Do you do that too? If your employer tells you that from tomorrow on you should make coffee. But there is no coffee machine or coffee.
Then you run off and buy everything with your own money?
The reality is that teachers really often do things like that. An employee in a company would never do that.
But to still demand it as a matter of course is kind of "funny"
If it were a one-time purchase of this small amount, I would certainly do that. We are talking here about civil servants in the upper service and a purchase in the double-digit range. Civil servants have so many advantages compared to employees, so I can expect that (and I know what I’m talking about, I was a civil servant).
But this is exactly what ails our society among other things. Everyone only does what they have to, and not even a little bit more for the good of society.
