I know, that was your irony... but honestly: Irony is used where something reality wants to be mentioned. I say: oh God, oh God, who does she think she is ;) Oh, also a special case, typical teacher... ;) See! Everyone here experiences what was mentioned above by others in the office, but half of them don’t mention it. Is it the same with you that teachers are sick twice as long after the vaccination than other professions? Oh, is that so? You fantasize more than I know!

Don't get me started on religion! The dear church insists that denominations be taught separately. That means that class teacher lessons are conducted without mixing and then meet in religion classes cross-grade. So now I have the teachers and the church against me. Bad Serb Edit: My school can't do anything about religion

Certainly, there are dedicated teachers (and that is certainly the majority), what most "non-teachers" are concerned about in my opinion is the level of pay. If as an elementary school teacher with around 30 years of experience you earn over 3,000 (with, mind you, under 30 (school hours)), that is already extreme! I have several teachers in my circle of acquaintances who do not stress themselves particularly. Especially in elementary schools, this is already extreme (Covid or not). With all due respect to this profession, but price/performance is simply completely overrated (applies only to tenured teachers).

At secondary schools, one is officially required to teach 25-26 hours per week. Where on earth does the calculation of work time doubling come from...

Yes! Definitely.
It's simply a slap in the face when primary school teachers receive a net hourly wage of over 30 euros!
I had actually dealt with the topic of lateral entry years ago. Unfortunately, the probability of becoming a civil servant is rather low then, making it uninteresting.
